SPECIAL COVERAGE OF "NEPAL PARICHAYA"


Nepal Parichaya Program Organized

 

Nepal Parichaya, a program to highlight Nepal was organized at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Doha today. The program highlighted various aspects of Nepal and was widely appreciated by all. The program was inaugurated by cutting a specially designed cake jointly by HE Shyamananda Suman and Thorsten Ries, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Welcoming the guests, HE Shyamananda Suman, Royal Nepalese Ambassador, said Nepal is a rich country by its culture, nature and heritage. The birthplace of Lord Buddha, Nepal is a peace loving country, he elaborated. His Excellency also thanked the management of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the staff and all those involved to make the program a success.

Thorsten Ries, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, thanked the group for its perfect show and expressed his happiness to help organize such a program. All senior staffs of the hotel were present during the program.

Expressing its gratitude, Niranjal Kishor Rijal, Secretary of Nepal Parichaya Group, facilitated HE Shyamananda Suman; Thorsten Ries, General Manager; Paul E. Cam, Director of Quality; Andrew H Turner, Hotel Manager; and Steve Grein, the Executive Chef by presenting all with traditional Nepali Cap "Dhaka Topi".

Two years back, the Nepali youths working at The Ritz-Carlton, formed a small group and named it Nepal Parichaya. The group is now lead by Dinapani Pandey as it Chairman and Niranjan Kishor Rijal as its Secretary. Today's program was the groups second presentation. Currently, more than 60 Nepalese staff are working for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha.

Folk songs, dance and music was presented by the Nepali staff during the program. A typical Nepali lunch was presented along with live cooking of MoMo, a famous dumpling of Nepal.
